Kansas City leaders are taking care of business as far as a couple of dangerous intersections in the Shoal Creek area are concerned. Two intersections in that area, 152 Highway and Flintlock as well as 152 Highway and Church Street, are being reviewed by a task force to determine what needs to be done to improve safety at these intersections. Why these two intersections? Well, if you look at one of our past news articles, we detailed the Top 20 Crash Sites for 2010 in Kansas City. What intersections were number one and three on the list? If you guessed 152 Highway at Flintlock and Church Streets, you were correct.
The task force, which consists of Kansas City traffic engineers, patrol officers and the Missouri Department of Transportation, are putting their heads together to make recommendations for these intersections to reduce the number of crashes and improve safety for our Kansas City drivers.
