According to a recent study conducted by State Farm Insurance, 19 percent of drivers admit to surfing the internet while driving. In the study, 912 licensed drivers were asked and the average age of each participant was 30.

Officials believe that the number of drivers that surf the web while driving is actually much higher because it is the younger population that are the most frequent users of their cell phones.

The survey was conducted in November, but State Farm has said that they will be conducting a more detailed survey later this year. Many of the drivers who said that they surf the internet while driving also said that they usually wait until they are at a stop sign or stop light.
