An unidentified motorist was killed in a car accident that occurred on June 6, 2011, around 5:20 a.m. on Interstate 15 (I-15) deep in the Mojave Desert. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Heath Poulsen, the driver was ejected out of his white 2011 Hyundai, when it overturned between Cima and Bailey Roads.
The driver was pronounced dead at the accident scene. He was driving northbound and alone in the car. From the limited information available, it is unclear what made the vehicle overturn just north of Baker, halfway between Barstow and the Nevada-California state line. An investigation will yield if the accident was due to loss of control, traffic violation, or if any other vehicle involved.
The person found responsible for the crash will be held liable for victim’s wrongful death. It would be in the best interest of the victim’s family members to immediately seek counsel from a car accident lawyer in San Bernardino County to know about their legal rights and options.
An auto collision attorney would help the victim’s family obtain timely compensation to cover funeral and burial costs, loss of anticipated earnings, loss of love and companionship, and other accident-related expenses.
Our law office offers sincere condolences to all those who knew and loved the victim for such a tragic loss.
