One person suffered critical injuries in a serious truck wreck that occurred on June 1, 2011, around 9:27 a.m. on Interstate 40 (I-40), deep in the Mojave Desert. According to the California Highway Patrol Officers, the truck went out of control and rolled over, causing to a severe traffic jam and major clean-up project east of Ludlow.
The injured person was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for a deep cut in the groin. From the available information, it is not clear what made the truck driver lose control of the vehicle. An investigation is required to determine whether the driver was driving recklessly.
