Female Motorist Hurt in Rollover Accident in Clairemont

Tuesday, August 13, 2013
0 comments

A female motorist suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle wreck that took place on January 15 around 3 p.m. in the 4400 block of Clairemont Drive.

The female motorist was driving south in her white-colored Toyota Matrix when a Dodge Charger entered into her lane and hit her. Due to the impact of the crash, the Matrix rolled over and landed in the middle of the street.

The female motorist sustained minor bruises and scratches and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. We all hope for a quick recovery of the injured motorist.

The driver of the other vehicle escaped unhurt in this car crash.

A rollover may occur after a side collision with another vehicle or any fixed object. Some other prominent reasons behind rollover auto accidents may also involve maneuvering over rough terrain, a quick turn, or a tire tread separation.

All auto accidents carry the danger of injuries; but, rollover accidents can often produce a more damaging effect for the vehicle and drivers involved.

According to the National Highway Safety Administration (NHSTA), more than 30,000 rollover accidents occur each year and from these accidents more than 10,000 lose their lives.

Due to the limited information on the circumstances leading up to the accident, we can speculate that speeding, distraction, or negligence of either motorist could have lead to this rollover accident.

As the investigation into this rollover accident continues, the injured victim should seek out her legal rights against the possible at-fault Dodge driver to obtain compensatory damages.

It is a relief that both parties walked away from this accident. It is greatly recommended to routinely check your tires, never carry too much stuff, and to watch your speed to avoid a rollover accident and to have a chance of walking away from one if it happens.

Did you walk away from a rollover accident? Tell us your story and what you think was the main factor that saved your life.

According to responding California Highway Patrol Officers, a white color two-door sedan rolled while rounding a sharp right turn and ended up on its side in the 41000 block of Route 79 (SR-79).

11-year-old Las Vegas boy Alex Rocha was killed in a rollover car accident that occurred on June 6, 2011, around 10 a.m. along Highway 95 (I-95) beside the Colorado River. According to San Bernardino County Coroner's officials, the vehicle had been traveling north along the highway when it left the roadway, veered back onto the highway, and rolled over.

There is limited information on what appears to have caused the loss of control. The family members of this deceased victim as well as the injured victims should consult with an experienced San Bernardino rollover car crash lawyer, who will inform the victims of their legal rights and options. If it is found in the investigation that a vehicle malfunction made the driver lose control of the vehicle, then the automaker will be held liable for Rocha’s wrongful death and the injuries suffered by his mother and sisters.

Our law office offers sincere condolences to all those who knew and loved Alex Rocha for such a disturbing loss. We also hope and pray that the injuries suffered by the victims do not prove fatal.

Overcorrection May Have Caused Rollover Crash in Independence, MO.

Monday, June 27, 2011
0 comments

Authorities are investigating a rollover crash that happened on eastbound Truman Road near Missouri 7 Highway Monday morning.  A woman flipped her car when her vehicle left the roadway and was on the shoulder of the road.  The driver over-corrected, causing the car to rollover.  She was take by air ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

As you read through our past blogs there are several recurring themes that seem to be at the root of most accidents.  As Kansas City Auto Injury Attorneys, we feel if we can educate our Kansas and Missouri drivers on these recurring items, we have a really good chance at reducing accidents in Kansas City.  So, with that said, here are the top 10 mistakes drivers make per MSN Auto.

Swerving. Yes, believe it or not, the most deadly mistake a driver can make it to leave his lane of traffic.  Hitting other vehicles or leaving the roadway is deadly business.  In fact, in 2007 the Highway Traffic Safety Administration (HTSA) reported that 15,574 people in the United States died because of this simple mistake.Driving While Drowsy. This is now being compared to drinking and driving, and appears to be just as dangerous.  Most of these types of accidents occur between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.Drinking and Driving. Every 40 minutes someone dies in a drunk driving accident.   What more needs to be said.Overcorrecting. Drivers tend to panic when their vehicle is sliding or goes off the road.  Stay calm, slowly move your vehicle back into the correct position.  Over-correcting causes about 4% of roadway fatalities.Speeding. Posted limits are posted for the safety of all drivers.  Interestingly, one-third of all motorcycle fatalities are caused by speeding.Failure to Yield the Right of Way. According to accident statistics, this is particularly difficult for older drivers.  They often either don’t see the oncoming vehicle they are supposed to yield to, or are unable to judge the distance and speed of the oncoming vehicle.Erratic or Reckless Driving. Weaving, tailgating, driving on the wrong side of the road, severely exceeding the speed limit – all of these driving mistakes can cause you tickets, jail time and accidents.Running Red Lights. Here’s an interesting statistic – 75% of automobile crashes occur in cities, and the majority of these accidents are caused by running red lights.  Think T-Bone crashes.  These are frequently the result of running a red light and are also frequently deadly. Not Wearing a Seat Belt. Understand the statistics.  Thirty-three percent of people killed in car crashes were not buckled up.Distracted Driving. Again, this is a category that is being compared to driving while intoxicated or on drugs.  Eating, talking on a cell phone, texting are all recipes for disaster when behind the wheel.

As Kansas and Missouri Auto Injury Lawyers, we see the devastation a car crash can cause.  Let’s keep Kansas City a safe place!

One person suffered critical injuries in a serious truck wreck that occurred on June 1, 2011, around 9:27 a.m. on Interstate 40 (I-40), deep in the Mojave Desert. According to the California Highway Patrol Officers, the truck went out of control and rolled over, causing to a severe traffic jam and major clean-up project east of Ludlow.

The injured person was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for a deep cut in the groin. From the available information, it is not clear what made the truck driver lose control of the vehicle. An investigation is required to determine whether the driver was driving recklessly.

The injured victim should immediately consult with an experienced San Bernardino County truck accident lawyer who would hire a trained private investigator to find out how the rollover occurred. 80-year-old Zada Louise Fields was killed San Bernardino car accident that occurred on May 23, 2011, around 2:35 p.m. along State Route 66 (US-66) deep in the Mojave Desert. According to CHP, Fields’ 2010 Chevy Aveo drifted towards the shoulder of the road and overturned when she tried to steer it back.

From the available information, it is unclear what made the victim lose control of the vehicle and roll over 50 miles west of the Colorado River city of Needles. The investigation is still being conducted. If the loss of control was due to uneven road or a mechanical failure, Fields’ family may be entitled to compensation. These types of claims are factually specific and require an immediate and detailed investigation performed by trained experts managed by a skilled personal injury lawyer. Any delay in the investigation may result in the loss of key pieces of evidence.

The family members of Fields should consult with an experienced San Bernardino County personal injury attorney, who will stay abreast of the official investigation and make sure that the negligent parties are held liable.

Driver Killed in Single Vehicle Rollover Accident in Mission, Kansas

Wednesday, May 18, 2011
1 comments

There are many causes for car accidents.  Distracted driving and failure to abide by traffic laws are pretty high on the list.  The good news is these serious injury accidents can be prevented as long as Kansas and Missouri motorists are paying attention not only to what is going on around them, but by making sure they are following the posted speed limits.  When a driver fails to do this– the unfortunate consequence, sadly, is often a serious injury or fatal rollover car accident.

A tragic example happened over the weekend, when a 53 year-old woman was killed in a single vehicle accident in Mission, Kansas on Sunday.  The fatal rollover crash happened near the northbound Metcalf Avenue onto Shawnee Mission Parkway.  According to Police, the driver of the vehicle, lost control of the pick-up coming off the exit ramp.  Driving too fast is believed to be the cause of the accident.  A passenger in the truck was not injured in the fatal crash.

Driving can sometimes become a habit.  You take the same route over and over and it becomes a routine.  However, it is still important to make sure you are following the traffic laws, especially speed limits.  There are so many things that can go wrong not only on the road but with your vehicle.  The location where this accident happened can be a tricky exit and as this tragic crash shows– if you’re not taking your time, bad things can and probably will happen.

Our experienced Kansas City Auto Accident Lawyers know that single vehicle crashes can be just as dangerous as accidents involving other vehicles.  We’d like to express our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of the victim in this tragic accident.  We hope motorists in Kansas and Missouri use this as an example as to what can happen when the rules of the road aren’t properly followed.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury in an auto accident in Kansas or Missouri, call experienced Kansas City Personal Injury Lawyers James Roswold and Heather Lottman.  With over 15 years of experience in Auto Injury Accidents, we might be able to help you through a stressful time.

Serious San Diego Rollover Car Accident On I-805 and SR-94

Posted On: April 23, 2011 by Ross Jurewitz

A serious San Diego rollover car accident occurred on April 21, 2011, on southbound Interstate 805 (I-805) at eastbound State Route 94 (SR-94), San Diego. According to the responding California Highway Patrol Officers, this serious traffic collision involved a truck.

From the present limited information, it is unclear what caused this major car accident and the extent of injuries to the driver and any occupant is also not known. Since the news says that it involved a truck, the involvement of more vehicles cannot be ruled out.

With such limited information, it becomes difficult to speculate whose fault this accident is. Who or which factor led caused this car wreck? Bad road conditions or poor design, manufacturing defect, or any driver’s negligence are a few of the many contributing factors.

The impact of this accident cannot be understated. The financial impact to the injured people includes hospitalization charges, costs involved in treatment of injuries, lost wages in the interim, pain and suffering, and several other damages that one cannot apprehend right now. The best act for anyone injured in this accident is to contact and consult with an experienced San Diego car accident attorney who would lead the victims through this tough and confusing time. The lawyer can help locate and collect the compensation needed for the injured motorists and do his own investigation if required.

Our personal injury office sincerely hopes that the injuries suffered by the victim or victims do not prove life threatening.

Woman Dies in Cabazon Rollover Car Accident

An unidentified woman believed to be in her 40s was killed in a serious rollover car accident that occurred on April 12, 2011, around 12:54 a.m. at Railroad Avenue and Main Street in Cabazon in Riverside County, approximately 88 miles from San Diego. Officer Jaci Parent said that a big rig driver noticed an overturned silver color Mitsubishi Eclipse and informed the authorities.

According to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, the exact cause of this fatal car accident remains under investigation. There are several possibilities to explain the accident. Was it a hit-and-run accident? Was any other person involved in this accident? Was she driving under influence? Was there a violation of speed or any other traffic rues? Was there a mechanical failure? These and several other questions are unanswered as of yet. Only a detailed investigation supervised by an expert accident lawyer can determine the cause of the accident.

It is therefore advised that the victim’s family members should consult with an experienced car accident lawyer in Riverside County to find out about their legal rights and options. The consulting lawyer can also help the family to obtain compensation to pay for funeral and burial costs, loss of anticipated income, and loss of love and companionship and other related damages.

We hope that the friends and family of the deceased woman can find peace and, hopefully, turn this loss into a moment to bond and reflect with their other loved ones. Losing a friend or family member is always tough.
