Driver Killed in Single Vehicle Rollover Accident in Mission, Kansas

There are many causes for car accidents.  Distracted driving and failure to abide by traffic laws are pretty high on the list.  The good news is these serious injury accidents can be prevented as long as Kansas and Missouri motorists are paying attention not only to what is going on around them, but by making sure they are following the posted speed limits.  When a driver fails to do this– the unfortunate consequence, sadly, is often a serious injury or fatal rollover car accident.

A tragic example happened over the weekend, when a 53 year-old woman was killed in a single vehicle accident in Mission, Kansas on Sunday.  The fatal rollover crash happened near the northbound Metcalf Avenue onto Shawnee Mission Parkway.  According to Police, the driver of the vehicle, lost control of the pick-up coming off the exit ramp.  Driving too fast is believed to be the cause of the accident.  A passenger in the truck was not injured in the fatal crash.

Driving can sometimes become a habit.  You take the same route over and over and it becomes a routine.  However, it is still important to make sure you are following the traffic laws, especially speed limits.  There are so many things that can go wrong not only on the road but with your vehicle.  The location where this accident happened can be a tricky exit and as this tragic crash shows– if you’re not taking your time, bad things can and probably will happen.
