24-year-old Tucson, Arizona resident Tyler Edmiston was killed in a fatal car accident that occurred on May 27, 2011, around 5:25 p.m. near mile marker 139 in Interstate 10 (I-10) in Blythe. According to the CHP, the vehicle overturned, leaving him fatally injured.

80-year-old Zada Louise Fields was killed San Bernardino car accident that occurred on May 23, 2011, around 2:35 p.m. along State Route 66 (US-66) deep in the Mojave Desert. According to CHP, Fields’ 2010 Chevy Aveo drifted towards the shoulder of the road and overturned when she tried to steer it back.

Arizona motorcycle accident ends with one person dead

A man from Minnesota was killed in a motorcycle accident in Arizona after he collided with a police car.

The accident occurred as the 56-year-old man was riding his motorcycle accident on State Route 65 and he suffered from type of medical issue. The motorcycle crossed the other lane and into the path of the police cruiser.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the accident. The woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he was later pronounced dead. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.

Arizona may be next state to ban texting while driving

Arizona may be the next state to ban texting while driving. As of now, 30 states have already banned the offense and a person is fined if caught breaking the law.

The Arizona State Senate has passed the bill and now it awaits a vote in the House. The bill would make it illegal for any driver to write, send or read a text message. The fines for offense are $50 if pulled over for texting and $200 if the texting driver is involved in an accident.

The law does not apply if you are stopped at a stop light or stuck in a traffic jam. AAA Arizona reported that a person that is texting and driving is 23 times more likely to be involved in an accident.
